Windows 10 Pro remains the most practical operating system for a large amount of working hardware. It has no TPM 2.0 requirement, no Secure Boot requirement and no processor allow-list, which means it installs cleanly on machines that Windows 11 simply refuses — and it still gives you the full business feature set: BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V, domain join and Group Policy.

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. The software still installs, activates and runs exactly as before, and your license does not expire — but Microsoft no longer issues security updates for it. We would rather tell you that plainly than have you find out afterwards.
Windows 10 Pro is still the right answer if the PC cannot meet the Windows 11 requirements — no TPM 2.0, no UEFI Secure Boot, or an unsupported processor — and you need a genuine, activated, fully working Windows on it. Choose differently if the machine qualifies for Windows 11, in which case buy Windows 11 Pro; or if you need a supported OS on old hardware, in which case Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 receives security updates until January 12, 2027.

Open the email from Vaneyo containing your license key — it arrives within minutes of purchase. Check your spam folder if it is not in the inbox.
Go to Microsoft’s official download page at microsoft.com/software-download and pick the release you are installing.
Choose your route: the Installation Assistant to upgrade the PC you are sitting at, or the Media Creation Tool or ISO for a clean install from USB.
For a USB install, use an empty 8 GB or larger drive — the tool erases it.
The Windows installation media is the same for every edition; your key decides which edition activates.
Installation and activation
Upgrading an existing PC
Run the Installation Assistant and let it check the hardware and download Windows. Your files and applications are kept.
When it finishes, go to Settings → System → Activation → Change product key and enter your 25-character key.
Clean installation
Boot from the USB drive, selecting it in the firmware boot menu if necessary.
Choose your language and keyboard, then Install now.
Enter your product key when prompted and select the matching edition — it must match the license you bought.
Accept the license terms, choose Custom: Install Windows only, and pick the target disk. A clean install erases that disk, so back up first.
Finish setup, then confirm under Settings → System → Activation that Windows reports as activated.

Hardware: almost any 32-bit or 64-bit PC built in the last fifteen years, including machines Windows 11 rejects.
Upgrades: installs over Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, and over Windows 10 Home with this key.

Windows 10 Pro vs Windows 11 Pro — the feature sets are close. The decisive differences are that Windows 11 demands TPM 2.0, Secure Boot and a supported processor, and that Windows 11 is still supported while Windows 10 is not. If the hardware qualifies, buy Windows 11.
Windows 10 Pro vs Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 — this is the important comparison if you are buying for old hardware. LTSC 2021 still receives security updates until January 12, 2027, takes no feature updates, and ships without the Store and consumer apps. For a machine that has to stay secure and stable on hardware Windows 11 rejects, LTSC is the better buy.

Will Windows 10 stop working now that support has ended?
No. It keeps running and your license stays valid. What stopped is Microsoft’s monthly security updates, which means newly discovered vulnerabilities will not be patched.
Can I upgrade this PC to Windows 11 instead?
Only if it has TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot and a supported processor. Microsoft’s PC Health Check tool will tell you in seconds. If it does not qualify, Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 are the realistic options.
