Go to Microsoft’s setup page at office.com/setup and sign in with the Microsoft account the license should belong to. Create one first if you do not have an account.
Enter your 25-character product key. The license is redeemed to your account and the download becomes available.
Choose Install and let the installer download.

Installation and activation
Uninstall any existing version first. Running two Office-family releases side by side on one PC causes activation errors and file-association problems.
Run the installer and let it finish.
Open one of the applications from the Start menu.
Accept the Microsoft license terms when they appear.
Activation completes automatically if the key was redeemed to your account. If you are asked to sign in, use that same account.
Confirm it worked: go to File → Account and check that Product Information reports the product as activated.
If anything stalls, contact us — installation support is included with every order.

File formats: reads and writes .docx, .xlsx and .pptx and opens the older .doc, .xls and .ppt formats, so files move both ways with other Office releases and with Microsoft 365.
Cloud: saves to OneDrive and SharePoint.

Not compatible with: macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iPad and Android. The Mac and mobile versions are separate products.
